The Alberta Geological Survey (AGS), of the Energy Resources Conservation Board, provides geoscience information and expertise to government, industry and the public to support exploration, development and conservation of Alberta's energy and mineral resources. AGS has more than 50 geologists, engineers, technologists and science specialists who map the geology of Alberta, describe its earth resources and provide advice on geological hazards.
At AGS, individuals have the opportunity to work on challenging projects of major importance to Albertans in the energy and minerals sectors, work with advanced technology on a daily basis and stay current in their fields while making significant contributions to their communities of practice.
The province of Alberta, with its strong, vibrant economy and beautiful natural environment, is one of the greatest places to work, live, raise a family and enjoy life. Alberta’s capital city, Edmonton, is recognized throughout North America as a centre of research and a leader in children’s education and post-secondary training.
