Executive Summary

The CD-ROM contains outcrop, lithologic, sample and structural measurement data for the subject Alberta Geological Survey project. The data are in GIS (geographic information system) format (I.e., ESRI shapefiles) and are packaged with an ArcView project to facilitate their query and display. In addition, photos of many of the outcrops and structural diagrams of the measurement data are included and are "hot-linked" for display in ArcView. Note that outcrop and sample locations have been adjusted to fit the geological base map, which forms the background image in the ArcView project. A "readme" document included on the CD-ROM describes the data and the ArcView project's installation and use.
